SERVICES 1. What is Interior Redesign? What is the process? How long does it take? 2. What is Home Staging? Home Staging refers to the process of preparing a home for sale by giving it a model home look. In this process, we work with realtors and/or homeowners who seek guidance in presenting a home that will have that "wow" factor needed in today's competitive real estate market. There are two ways we can help in this endeavor: a staging consultation, and then, if desired, creating a staging package to meet the specific needs found during the consultation. What is the process? This process begins with a staging consultation, which generally lasts about 2 hours, depending on the square footage of the home. After talking with the homeowners, taking notes and many photographs, and searching the market for comparable homes, I come up with a packet of information for the homeowners that includes suggestions for helping the home appeal to the most buyers. Curb appeal, de-cluttering, deep cleaning, and de-personalizing are all discussed, as well as ideas on improving the flow through the home and creating points of interest within the home. How long does it take? As stated before, the required initial consultation takes about 2 hours, depending on the square footage of the home. If the homeowner asks us to assist in the staging process, which can involve room redesign, de-cluttering, de-personalizing, deep cleaning, and helping with packing and organizing, the scope of time becomes dependent on the services to be accomplished. Staging can take one day for small tasks, or as much as a few weeks, again depending on the services needed. 3. What is a Color Consultation? A color consultation includes an assessment of your home to discuss wall colorings that will compliment your current furnishings and decor, or to help you begin a new look in the area in which you desire a change. Fabrics, accessories, and window treatments can be addressed as well. A Color Consultation will give you the confidence you need to add color to your life! What is the process? Color consultations generally take an hour or less per room. Each space to be evaluated is visited, and the usage of the room is taken into consideration as well. Furnishings, accessories, and fabrics that will be residing the space will also be considered. If the client is completely uncertain which direction to go, we then bring out the Color Evaluation "test," in which one ranks colors from least preferred to most preferred. (Don't worry! You won't be graded on this test ! There are no wrong answers!) The results of the "test" usually give us a good place to start. From there, a beautiful color scheme can be created! How long does it take? Again, the consultation itself lasts about an hour per room. If a client wishes to have new furnishings, accessories, and artwork included with the color scheme, obviously it will take a bit longer to bring the whole combination together.
